Pingdom is heading to Internet Days in Stockholm for a schedule full of presentations, discussions, debates, and banter about all things related to the Internet. Some of us Pingdom geeks will be hob-knobbing with the over 1,500 participants expected to attend this year.
Internet Days, organized by the Internet Infrastructure Foundation, is a must-attend event if you’re interested in the Internet, especially as it relates to Sweden, where the Pingdom HQ is located. For this year’s event, Pingdom is dispatching a part of the team to see what’s going on, talk to people, and soak up the atmosphere.
This year, the Internet Days conference offers a range of interesting keynote speeches. Among those we look forward to the most are the ones by Lawrence Lessig, one of the founders of Creative Commons; Mikko Hypponen, Chief Research Officer at F-Secure; and Jillian C. York from the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
There will be sessions on a wide range of topics, including the future of copyright, open data, reliability in the cloud, Internet robustness, net neutrality, cyber conflicts, and much more.
Internet Discovery Day is also something to look forward to. Around 120 entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas to participating venture capitalists and other investors, and some 650 people registered in total. That will create quite a buzz.
We’ll be there Monday through Wednesday, so let us know if you want to meet up to chat about web monitoring, web performance, the Internet, or something else.
And as if that was not enough, we’ll also be attending TEDxStockholm.
