There’s a Pingdom toolbox coming up. It is focused on providing public information about domain names and web servers all over the Internet. The intention is for this to be a general set of tools for researching the Internet and we will provide it for free.
The first version of this toolbox is coming in a couple of weeks, and will allow you to search for a domain name and get basic information about the website it leads to and the server it is hosted on.

Information about websites will include its name, description, and keywords (from the meta information in the HTML code for the page). Web server information will include IP address, which country it is located in, and which websites (domain names) are located on it.
