Pingdom has opened up the gates for programmer creativity.
No matter how many features we or anyone else have, there will always be something that at least one user wants that isn’t there. There will always be special needs. We decided that we didn’t want to limit any of our customers, and have therefore given them the tools to create their own dream application using Pingdom data.
Pingdom users can now access their own Pingdom uptime check data via a Web Service API, giving them the possibility to create custom websites and applications talking directly with the Pingdom central servers.
Possible uses:
- Custom reports and applications.
- RSS feeds.
- Desktop widgets.
- Pingdom statistics directly on your website.
Those are just some quick examples. Anything you can think of, you can build. We are really looking forward to see what people will come up with.
