From our posts lately, it may be easy to think that it’s all fun and games here at Pingdom. Yes, we have fun, and yes, we enjoy our work, but we also work hard.
So before you go thinking that we’re resting on our laurels, surfing the Web and watching videos on You Tube all day, here is a list of some of the things that were added to Pingdom during the last month.
New from last month:
- A new report page with more details about each downtime, average response time by location, and new graphs.
- Two new probe locations added: Sacramento, California (USA) and Gloucester in the UK.
- Up to 15 hops of redirection now allowed for HTTP(S) checks.
- Second opinion functionality. When a probe location sees a site or service as down, it will ask for a second opinion from another probe location. If the seconds probe location confirms, the site or service is reported as down.
- The possibility for you to have your SMS credits automatically refilled.
And of course we have great plans for the future. Some are in progress, and some are still being fitted into the pipeline.
Coming soon:
- Further probe locations to our expanding monitoring infrastructure.
- Free trials.
- Support for multiple languages and localization.
- Custom time-out periods for checks.
- A transaction monitor. This will allow you to monitor the functionality and flow of for example contact or order forms on your websites.
We have five dedicated developers working full time on Pingdom’s technology, and we will constantly keep adding and improving useful features that will benefit both new and existing customers.
