Last Friday, Pingdom had a visit from the county administrative board. They were here to interview Sam Nurmi, our founder and CEO. His profile will be included in a book together with fourteen other highly successful entrepreneurs in our county.
Before Ipwalk and Pingdom, Sam founded the Swedish web hosting company Loopia, which he managed to grow into the largest and most successful one in Sweden before he sold it in 2005. One of the most progressive technology companies of Västerås, Sweden, Loopia was selected as company of the year in 2004, and marketers of the year in 2005.
Sam has kept his connection to Västerås, and Pingdom’s main office is located just down the road from Loopia.
