Sorry to hear that Thomas. All we can say is that we are actively working on the user experience of the service. If you decide to give us a try again in the future we hope you like it.

It was quick and easy to setup basic monitoring. The dashboards were easy to scan and I could get a quick overview of what I actually needed.

I have since switched to updown.io which is what Pingdom use to be for me. So now I thought I would try Pingdom again after a 2 year break, and sorry to say but it feels even worse. Everything is slow and the UX is hard to understand. Most importantly it is still hard to see an overview of your checks.

It may be useful for some but annoyance for the rest of us.

To strive to be the leading actor in monitoring pingdom should make monitoring the main focus. Beep manager and other add-ons should take the back seat and let monitoring take the spotlight.

I’m glad that Pingdom is planning to ‘disable’ Beep Manager and I hope any future add-ons will be opt-in base.
