Ther is no such landmark regarding laptop battery life longevity. It completely depends on the configuration of a laptop and way of using a laptop. For example, usingSteelseries Arctis 9x headphone instead of inbuilt speakers for music to increase battery life.

With the slice battery, Lenovo says that we should be getting 24 hours of battery life, something that we can pretty much verify now.

My Dell 6420(1,5 years) still does 4-7 hours depending on use. In the beginning it went a whole workday without charge. But the laptop is a bit on the “bulky” side. Especially for a 14″.
