The Eris is being upgraded now.

Also the JIT in Android 2.2 apparently vastly improves the performance of the Java-esque programs on Android, which are currently interpreted only. It might not be necessary to restrict older devices to 1.6 after all.

Android for example has a very limited approach through web browsers(hate that). I have come to the conclusion that if I want to search apps on my laptop, I should use other marketplaces. I found the Facebook, AIM, & more on a site called RawApps
