Blogger is one of the world’s largest blogging platforms because it’s so easy to use; you just subscribe, while you have to set up WordPress and not many people can do it.

Though I am surprised that in another post of yours, from 2009 http://royalpingdom.wpengine.com/2009/01/15/the-blog-platforms-of-choice-among-the-top-100-blogs/ you concluded that Blogger owns only 3% from blogging platforms. But I guess you means from those 100 blogs, right? Google is really big and it’s still expanding with Chrome and Android!

It’s trying so hard to break into other revenue streams, all it needs to do is kill the telcos, the skype, the at&t, the networks and utilities to be really big.

Google has grown by leaps and bounds, and seeing the many facets of it posted on here shows why it is has done so.

It cetainly used “search” as it’s homebase and then they have added a whole myriad of other products and services.

It will be interesting to see if Facebook and Twitter do they same and whether they ultiize their home base of subscribers to offer other products and services to rival Google.

I asked Facebook this morning what happened to their Facebook Ads tracking tools and I received this response:

“Thank you for checking in with us, We’re no longer going able to offer our conversion tracking beta product. In the past, we have tested this product with a small number of advertisers. While we learned a lot from the beta, our focus is not on building a full featured conversion tracking tool. Our teams will continue to invest in tools that help marketers better understand the effectiveness of ads that are social and include social context from friends, since we know that social context has a very powerful effect on ads’ effectiveness. An example of this is our recent launch of social metrics in the Ads Manager”

Seems like they know what they want. But do they know what I want?!

I want to know whether my Facebook Ads are converting or not – that’s the holy grail after all but I will have to use an external software provider to work it out. Sounds crazy to me!

One of the best things Google did was Analytics because it shows the internet marketer what is working and what is not. Why won’t Facebook do the same?

Maybe that’s why Google remain the biggest!?
