I guess these 0.15% are just by honeycomb androids (Hi-end models). What about the many chinese tablets with android 2.3 or lower? I think they are identified as smartphone access, due to the browser “useragent string”. And because of the low resolution screens, it may be difficult to differentiate for example between a HTC Desire (3.7 inches) and a Coby Kyros (7.0), both with 800 x 400 resolution . Is there a way to separate these two types of access?

It’s not a tablet device, what you’re trying to do, is making a cellphone the same as a tablet device, which does not make any sense.

Let’s face it, most people who thought tablets were a good idea bought an iPad a year or 2 ago (when all the rest sucked) and have no need switch. But like the desktop and phones, Apple will retain a significant market share with much higher margins.

Also, Kindle Fire is not an iPad competitor. It’s smaller and WAY underpowered — a cheap tablet/book reader, rather than a full featured tablet.

The clear answer is yes!
