Pingdom was given the honor of being named “Company of the Year” for 2012 by Västerås Science Park, in competition with over 200 local companies.
“We are very happy to receive this award. It gives us all a sense of being on the right path. It’s in recognition of the both hard and smart work we put in,” said Sam Nurmi founder and CEO of Pingdom.
“To be named Company of the Year with Pingdom in 2012, after winning back in 2004 with Loopia, is very flattering. It also goes to show that running a business is a long-term commitment and that it takes time to create a successful company,” he concluded.
The prize money, delivered in the form of an oversized check, is to be spent on fun staff activities, which we think is a great idea, since it’s after all the team that generates success here at Pingdom.
Pingdom has in recent years experienced a very strong growth, and there’s always room for more talented people to join our quest to make the Internet faster and more reliable.
